These Service Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of heating, cooling, and air conditioning services by J&B Heating & Cooling, LLC ("Company," "we," "our," or "us").
By scheduling and accepting services from J&B Heating & Cooling, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all heating, cooling, air conditioning, and related HVAC services provided by our company.
Our services include but are not limited to: system installations, repairs, maintenance, inspections, emergency service, and consultation. All services are performed by licensed and insured technicians in accordance with local and state regulations.
We offer scheduled appointments during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Standard appointments are available for non-emergency services including installations, maintenance, and scheduled repairs.
While we strive to arrive within the scheduled time window, please note that service times may vary due to previous job durations, traffic conditions, or emergency calls. We will contact you if significant delays occur.
Our technicians will arrive within the scheduled timeframe. Please ensure someone 18 years or older is present to provide access to the service area and approve any work performed or additional services recommended.
We provide written estimates for all work before proceeding. Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued. Final pricing may vary if additional work is required or if conditions differ from initial assessment.
Any additional work or changes to the original scope must be approved by the customer before proceeding. Our technician will provide a written estimate for any additional services or parts required.
We provide a 90-day warranty on all labor performed. If you experience issues with our work within this period, we will return to correct the problem at no additional charge.
New parts and equipment installed by our company are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Warranty periods vary by manufacturer and product. We will provide warranty information for all installed parts and equipment.
Our warranties do not cover damage resulting from normal wear and tear, improper maintenance, misuse, accidents, or modifications made by parties other than J&B Heating & Cooling. Regular maintenance requirements must be met to maintain warranty coverage.
J&B Heating & Cooling's liability is limited to the cost of services provided. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including but not limited to:
Customers are responsible for backing up or protecting any data, property, or belongings that may be affected by our service work.
Regular maintenance is essential for optimal system performance and longevity. Customers are responsible for following recommended maintenance schedules and schedules for filter changes, system cleaning, and professional tune-ups.
Operate HVAC systems according to manufacturer guidelines. Report any unusual sounds, odors, or performance issues immediately to prevent further damage.
Customers may cancel or reschedule appointments with at least 2 hours notice. Cancellations made less than 2 hours before the scheduled appointment may be subject to a service call fee.
While rare, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to extreme weather, equipment failure, or emergency service calls. We will make every effort to reschedule promptly and at no additional cost.
Deposits for installations are refundable if cancellation occurs more than 48 hours before the scheduled start date. Deposits may be subject to cancellation fees if work has begun or materials have been ordered.
We provide 24/7 emergency HVAC services for urgent situations such as complete system failure, gas leaks, or electrical issues. Emergency service calls are subject to premium rates and may be scheduled based on availability.
For life-threatening emergencies (gas leaks, electrical fires), customers should immediately contact emergency services (911) before calling for HVAC service.
Emergency service charges include after-hours rates and may not include parts or additional repairs. We will provide a written estimate for any emergency repairs before proceeding.
We use only high-quality, manufacturer-approved parts and materials. All parts are covered by the respective manufacturer's warranty. We will inform customers when special-order parts are required and provide estimated delivery times.
Customers may provide their own parts, but we cannot guarantee installation of non-approved components or provide warranties for work performed with customer-supplied parts.
Removed parts become our property unless specifically requested by the customer. We will dispose of old equipment and materials in an environmentally responsible manner.
Customers must provide safe, unobstructed access to all equipment and service areas. This includes clearing pathways, removing obstacles, and ensuring adequate lighting. Our technicians will not work in unsafe conditions.
Please secure or relocate pets during service appointments. Our technicians are not responsible for animal-related delays or damages. If pets are not properly secured, we may need to reschedule the appointment.
All work involving electrical or gas connections will be performed by qualified technicians following all safety codes. Customers must ensure that electrical panels and gas shut-offs are accessible and clearly marked.
These Terms and Conditions may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. We will post updated terms on our website and notify customers of significant changes.
Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you may discontinue using our services.
We are committed to customer satisfaction and will work to resolve any concerns promptly. If you experience issues with our service, please contact us immediately to discuss your concerns.
If a dispute cannot be resolved through direct communication, we encourage customers to work with us to find a fair resolution. All disputes will be governed by the laws of the State of South Dakota.
